Description

(recent images with the comment box left open have an asterisk in the title) One of the places of interest during Leslie and my trip to Ireland was the Cliffs of Moher. We stayed for two nights at a delightful farmhouse B&B near the cliffs, with the express intention of going to see them. The lovely weather of Ireland had other ideas, or else the fog around the shores loved us. Every time we went towards the cliffs the fog rushed to greet us. Never mind. It gives me a reason to go back if I get the chance. Not that I need another reason, but I have it. Since the fog was being overly friendly on the coast, we decided to go inland a bit, to the Burren Birds of Prey Centre at Aillwee Cave, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare. It was a good choice. It was opened in 2008, has the largest and most varied collection of Birds of Prey in Ireland, has breeding pairs, bird release programs, and flying displays. I start the week on the centre with a parrot. Okay, not a bird of prey, but a very pretty bird. I love his eyes and color. He was in a large cage in the centre shop. Information on the centre came from their website. Thanks for viewing and for previous comments and favs!
