You may notice this small dome in the lower left. Standing on this precipice I could not resist a click. The upheaval and cross bedding with the turtle shape of the dome seemed to wild and different. Let alone all the subtle hues sprinkled with green! To all a great week! Okay, now I have James Taylor playing in my head. I love this perspective, with only the rich colors of the sandstone and greens in the image. As always, I love the lines which you capture with such wonderful clarity. I've made doodles where I would draw parallel lines in one direction for a while and then abruptly change the angle and draw more. I love the look of that, and here nature, the master artist, has shown just how beautiful it can be. I love the hollows where water has tinted the rocks a bluish-gray, the ragged edges, the many shades of the sandstone, and the contrasting dark greens. Beautiful composition, with the small dome set in a cavity at the base of a larger one. Excellent capture!
