Interesting shot of the dissipating plants, Jock, trying to stay alive despite being neglected. As a single guy, this is the main reason that I grow only succulents, which hardly need any water.

Maybe they are there from when he wasn't single and he keeps them to remind himself why he should stay single. ;D Great capture!

I liked Kim's comment. This guy should not be allowed to buy any plants Jock. Definitely not a still life. Dana

There are a lot of dried up single old men out there! This photo reminds me of them. Great photo, Jocko and excellent narrative!

I'm giggling now. Recently I visited an elderly man who loved gardening and spent most of his time out back on his shaded patio admiring his garden. Every flower in it was silk or plastic - not anything alive or requiring care other than to hose the dust off once a month. Great shot and the Chia Pet laying on its side is priceless.

Hey, I have two plants like that but the dead leaves are still on mine, so every Fall it kind of looks okay. Sadly, I do not have a dead Chia Pet though!

Very nice. Get plastic plants, you just need to dust them occasionally Jock!

This is exactly what happens to plants I bring in! But then I always anounce them as "Dried Flowers". ;)

Fantastic title for this Jocko. The picture conveys sadness for the guy living there but if you live with it you don't see it as others see it!

A great illustration of a dessicated life. I'm no good at house plants myself, but I can't keep the dead ones.
