Description

First of all I want to say I'm really very glad so many seem to enjoy my images! I'm very honored by that. But I want to say that I'm not all that amazing.. I'm just a regular hobbyist that have been playing with poser for a while now. The other day I had a debate with some people about the word talent. I don't belive in that word. I don't belive that some people "get something for free" because they're "talented" In art some people might have it a little bit easier if they have an eye for what looks good and what doesn't.. but as far as the technical stuff, I belive in practise. Telling an artist, athlete or whatever that "Oh, you're so talented" belittles the amount of effort they put into something in my opinion. Nobody gets anything for free. Everybody has to work for it, and it's the amount of effort, practise and hard work that makes you get better, I truly belive that. Sure, in some cases certain things require you to have necessary condition, for instance a marathon runner will probably do better if they're not overweight or have too much muscle mass, where if you play basketball it might be easier if you're quite tall etc. But to be good at what you do you still have to pracise and work at it. I belive that anybody can do almost anything if they put their mind to it. I've attached my very first poser image I ever made above.. There is nothing special about it.. the lighting isn't brilliant, the colours don't pop and it feels quite bland.. but that's where I started, that's where I'm coming from and I'm constrantly trying to improve and learn new things. Don't ever be afraid of trying new things and explore, that's how you learn and evolve! :) I hope I get what I want to say across well enough.. I'm not very good with words.. this is not meant to offend anyone, but rather it's meant as inspiration.

wow i have tried to get this point across to so many people but never as well said as you have! i have always had an eye for art ever since i was little but nothing compares to the time and sacrifices i made to get to were i am now. i at time have gone over something i am working on 5 to 10 times until i feel its ready, something i would have never done in the past. i hand it to you people really need to know how much work we put into our art. back in 2008 my art work "2032" made me sci-fi channels artist of the week to this day i still don't feel it was the best work iv done. i still feel i can do better in all my artwork! also to point out i never went to school for art my brother just happen to come across Photoshop when it first came out and i picked it up not knowing anything about computers after that i learned about byce then fell in love with poser and vue. now i have poser pro, vue 9 and Photoshop cs5. and i am always reading up on all new tips and tricks. thank you for this i will use this example if the conversation ever comes up again.

I think you are right, hard work is essential, even though some are gifted to reach a peak that are a little higher than the rest of us, but I am sure that none of them came sleeping to their success. An by the way, your images are great.
