Description
All I can say about this one is "layers and layers and layers...."
Very busy, very dense, lots and lots of props. This was an attempt to create a distorted water look, with a lot of caustic blur and depth. I also wanted it to be pretty bright, with a lot of color to reflect the cheerful feeling of the Rhinemaids playing, but still retain a bit of sinister darkness.
This scene actually comes before the one I posted yesterday, and that's Alberich back there making a cameo appearance as he spies on the Rhinemaidens.

Quite a bit of contrast here...the somber statue and the playful maidens, the dark and the colorful. It all works well, and the props really fit the scene.
