Description

These Cumulus were building rapidly and were getting darker by the minute and in the gap between them were what I belief Alto cumulus visible. Less than half an hour after this picture was taken we had a shower. Taken while waiting for trains along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks about fifteen miles west of Flagstaff. We were told that Late August and early September were known as "Monsoon season" in southern Arizona. Almost every day those clouds would build up in the afternoon and we would have a shower...then the sun would come back out. Lovely pic.
