Description
I have finally gotten Terra Dome working - many thanks to Colm, Traveler and Bontranyx - and this is my first atytempt at an image that I feel is okay to post. I am very impressed with the lights and shadows in Terra Dome - they bring a whole new dimension to my renders. I find them to be more realistic to the real world than other lighting. My only complaint w/ TD? I need to see trees, shrubs, rocks, rubble - whatever. This isn't impossible to do, but would be a nice feature. Large expanses of unbroken rocky faces or grassy plains is unrealistic to me.
This is Abbi - stalking an enemy in late evening sunset. I like the long shadows, and the play of light on her face. Hope you enjoy her as much as I enjoyed putting together the render.
Composed in Poser 7
very little postwork in CS2 - lightened up a few shadows
Peace,
Charlie~

You did this inside Poser....WOW is all I can say. I wish I could get lighting like that in Poser. There are lots of good tree and vegetation models out there.....

Hi, Limwhite~ The lighting is created by Terra Dome. The beauty of this IBL is that it can be rotated along with the sky to get the sun in any direction and angle you chose. The skydome is 360 degrees, make it infinitely adjustable, with the ability to move both cloud patterns and sun direction. It has been on sale at RDNA for 12 bucks. Normally $30. HTH C~
