Description
The aliens needed pilots to move their ships through the endless depths of space. They would aquire different races on different planets and test their abilities to control the complex vehicles. Most failed, became insane and tried to fight the aliens control. For their protection the test beings would be destroyed along with the rest of their race. If the test being were to escape or any contact with the rest of people, a possible contamination and plague could result spreading through the universe. Finally, the aliens found one race that could take on the complexities of controlling the ships and moving them through space. They were very adaptable and obediant to the commands of the aliens and soon were piloting the thousands of alien vehicles. They would only last several weeks before their minds burnt out. The were quickly replaced and the journey would go on. They had and endless supply of the units since they had set up procurment centers on the creatures home planet. The creatures objections were never considered.
