UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

So, you're a wild man, huh, Bill? LOL! No, I don't think I'll ever get tired of your photos of this staircase, my friend! You're making me want to go back there and see it in person again.... :-D

I love this POV, it really shows off the graceful curves. I'm not tired of it at all! Well done!

Very nice composition, Bill. I like architectural details like this from older buildings.

I'm like Rod ... this just makes me want to go back again! What a great place that was to visit. It makes me realize how many little out-of-the-way places there are in the world, just everyday "normal" stuff, that is really special. Some of it MUST be around here! LOL! Maybe we should try to find our own treasures! :P

Another wonderful capture of these stunning stairs, it is no wonder that you are attracted to them. Such a lot of work has gone in to the making of them.

A good staircase deserves to be seen, as many times as possible; I've seen a few in my day and captured too few of them, so this one is a treat, especially with that curve...it's sexy in an architectural way, especially with the pattern of that central runner. I love the colors, the tones, the nice, wooden sheen. Everything in this image just works perfectly and it's well worth countless reiterations. Yeah, Like this a lot... I'm catching up, slowly...but as its past my bedtime, I have to save the other treats in your gallery until a more decent hour.

What a great shot! And an amazing staircase as well. Makes me want to put my hand on the rail, run it along the wood and run down the stairs to the bottom. Wonderful work!

all your shots of this staircase are marvelous. Here you have it unraveling downwards like a big seashell. You've framed it beautifully with the railing (allowing it to de-focus in the immediate foreground); and your sense of contrast is beautiful & clear as always, between the deep browns of the wood, the stark whites of the downstairs, those wonderful blaring lights right under the stairs---a very rich inclusion, I can see you positioning yourself to get those lights in the shot---and even the stunning blue carpeting below, a strong accent to all the golds, browns, whites & yellows. A lavish confection, with the clarity and musical movement that you have perfected so many times over. Beautiful image. You do this stairwell proud...
