Description

This spider was HUGE. It was sitting up high, so I had to reach up and hope for the best and first after I downloaded it to the computer, I saw it was eating a hoverfly. -=BEST IN FULL SIZE=- Wish you all a beautiful day. We have fair weather for now, but later it will be alot of wind from south. Not fun, as we JUST polished the windows in the patio :-/// OK! OK! I shouldnt complain, comparing to what other people in this world must tolerate of evil weathers. I so feel with them. Thank you so much for viewing, comments and favs to my previous post. It is Highly appreciated :)

Fantastic spider-capture, dear Helle. Great title too. Here I see spiders more than other years. They are very active, but difficult to photograph because it's blowing so hard here ;-).

At the moment, Chicago is experiencing the kind of rain that reminds me of a giant, messy sneeze, and it's cold rain! Yuck! But this photo brightens my day (even though I'm looking at it during the night.) I love these spiders. We call them Marble Spiders, and they're everywhere! They get big, nicely big, but they are fairly docile. Their babies actually "fly." Well, they travel from place to place by spinning a long strand of silk and allowing the wind to catch it; they've been captured by balloons with special vacuum attachments over the Atlantic ocean, on the way to Africa or Europe! I think that's stunning! Unfortunately, only a few of them survive such journeys, but the ones that do might be born in one part of the world and then enjoy hoverflies in Denmark! How wonderful is that? What details and colors! This is such a perfect shot!
