This is a vast canyon and note the person standing on the edge of a drop of several hundreds of feet. (for those who need to convert 1 foot = 30 cm).

So much more meaningful for me with the figure there: I have never really understood what I was seeing in pictures without a reference for scale.

That is a great vista, then my attention went to the lower left corner, and if you zoom, that sure looks like tire tracks almost at the edge! Somebody's living on borrowed time! It might withstand the weight of many passers-by for centuries, but the weight of the front end of a car for 30 seconds.

I would NEVER stand like that on the edge of the cliff. MY legs would get rubber legs. But WOW what a sight. I am glad I can see it in a beautiful photo like this. :)
