Description

This one's for you man! Much like in an AD&D adventure campaign, we all have to embark on a new adventure sometimes. Something new, something different, a whole new obstacle course of challenges. Without further adieu: Iselad - Turkish Bardic Gypsy. He's the newcomer to the group, his specialty of singing ballads with his great voice. Notably the wisest of the group, he brings a calming presence and influence; often regaling anecdotes from his earlier life when there's a point to be made. Ivanova - Barbarian Blademaster from the Siberian Highlands. She is a nomadic warrior that's been hardened by Siberia's most frigid climates and harshest terrains. She can be head strong and stubborn at times, but remains brutally loyal to her companions. Freidar - Nordic Swashbuckling Ranger of the North Seas. Hailing from a long family lineage of Viking descendants, Freidar's the leader of this motley group. Freidar provides the group with his own small sailing vessel, taking them to far off lands across the globe. Freidar's flamboyant nature of act first, figure it out later often lands them in no shortage of "interesting" adventures.

Wow, this IS Daz...you weren't kidding me! Who are you and what have you done with Spacer? Actually, bringing tunes to a fight has a very long historical precedence culminating with the Tudor Combat Lutist in the 1500's. Yeah, ok, I just made that up, but it coulda happened!

I like this. Spacer_01 showed me the WIP a few days ago & it was pretty good even then. But is much better with all the extra work.

Now this looks interesting! I'm really liking the reflections on those blades. Can't wait to see some of the adventures these characters get into. Nice work!

Thanks! I do enjoy a good AD&D game once in a while. For those who do play AD&D, knows as well as I do how valuable a Bard can be in a group. A Bard's songs are time limited inspirational group-wide power "buffs" with effects granting for example +2 to attack, +2 to defense, etc. I didn't bother using any DS mats for this scene (all my runtimes in DS are imported as Poser content), so I pretty much tweaked most of the material shaders so they look good for optimal 3Delight render engine quality. I'm primarily a Carrara user, though this project was to try some of the new features in DS4. I might eventually port the characters over to Carrara for further adventures ;)

Wow, you using D|S? :P Nice scene, though; I myself am getting all excited for Poser Pro 2012. ;) SSS in Poser! Who would've thought that day would ever come? ;)
