Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time.  I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

A most beautiful result you've with this remarkable painting, Helle. It just looks so sunny and perfect, I could live in this, but it's just for hanging on the wall ;-) I very much like the Stock-roses and other flowers, in front of this beautiful house.

Lovely 2D work Helle!

This is gorgeous! Really, exquisitely gorgeous! When I looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was a photo of one of your neighborhood houses, but I didn't exactly recognize the colors. You concentrate on such wonderful details and textures; I particularly love your brush strokes, the way they pop! And what can I say about the colors? WOW! It's so crisp. So vivid, as if the image is alive and breathing and inviting you in for a nice visit with tea and shortbread cookies, and maybe the owner of the house playing the accordion, or a guitar. I really like the green on the windows and the door; they make the house look so cozy. Yep...this is excellent!

This is lovely Helle. A modern roof to replace the old thatch. We spent a week traveling in Denmark in the late-1970s (most places, except we didn't get to Copenhagan). I remember seeing old farmhouses...much like yours painted so well in this upload.

I remember this one Helle:) Is really wonderful. I love the colours and the grass is soo inviting!! There is great realism and great romantism too in your painting. The flowers in rose and white are incredibly well done.I love very much all the details and the shadows grabs me much. It is a great piece of art!Bravo to you!

you know, helle, one of the things that makes this delightful is the simplicity of the hues on the wall, sky, and grass (in the upper half of the grass): It's not that you don't use brushstrokes---you do---but that you leave the hues fairly straight-forward regardless; and that, in the house & grass, almost flat. This makes the piece seem like a folk tale, because in folklore (keeping in mind that "fairy tales" are a sub-set of folklore) everything is idealized & mythified into basic 'types' and such. Everything is made so clear & bold in folklore, and the mysteries in them stem from that simplicity. That's what this image feels like to me: It's feels like a house out of time, simple & direct. And yet, as others have pointed out, you do have brushstrokes here---ie, in the bushes (agree with andrea about them), the flowers behind the bench (which have a very oil-feeling), of course in the roof shingles, and in the dark foreground of grass, and in the sky. But you keep the brushstrokes mostly simple, in harmony with the simplicity of the piece, so it all is of a single gesture. Beautiful work, Helle, and kudos for handling this type of painting with such ease: When one has your trademark complexity of hues and of interacting hues, doing something like this isn't always easy; but since you go from style to style with such ease, it's no surprise that you do so here. An enchanting painting, and of course so nice to see you post paintings. It's so much a part of your talent.

I love this! I remember seeing it when you originally put it up, and would have sworn I commented at that time, but ... I get interrupted a lot. LOL! This is beautiful! The subject matter is charming, and I love the way you've used your paint. Wonderful lines and color, and so sensitively done! I love the shadows, especially of the tree on the grass (we can't see the tree, but can see it's there because of the shadow). What a wonderful painting! :)
