Description
This is Vega, one of teh brightest stars up there right now. This image is not a stack. It is one of teh RAW files and I changed the light for a purple background. Thanks for viewing and any comments.

I love astrophotography, but I lack the means to actually capture astromomical phenomena myself. It'll happen, eventually, I'm itching to photograph Regulus, the Orion Nebula (have you noticed that it's positioned in a rather...um...rude place within the constellation of Orion?) and a few other astronomical targets. Needless to say, I like this shot quite a lot, and I love the vague color shift; it reminds me of the best photos I've seen in various issues of Astronomy magazine, and some of the professional stuff I've seen in Sky and Telescope and even in National Geographic on those few occasions they actually will go extraterrestrial in their subject matter. This is a great shot.
