Description

One of the most beautiful of butterflies...IMHO. It's hard to get a photo of them with their wings open.

Good shot of this spectacular morpho displaying in the sunlight.You are right that it is tricky to get such a shot.They do usually close up when approached.

Indeed, spread wings on a butterfly is nearly impossible to capture! Butterflies rest with their wings closed, and moths rest with their wings open. It's one of the surest ways to tell if what you've got is moth or buttie. This is impressive! A beautifully clear, gorgeously colored photograph. Outstanding image!
