Description

Walled Garden at Maclay Gardens This is the cameo on the far wall from the picture I posted last Monday. It took a while to find it in my folders, but I knew I had a close up of it. This was taken back in Jan. of 2010 another time I was there. Hope you all enjoy and please zoom. Thanks for the comments.

I honestly love thing's like this-Many many of them are based on religion and they often give people a feeling of comfort simply by being around them---Terrific image

Great you upload this now, Kim. This was also noticed by me on your other pictures, and I thought initially it was a sign of traffic ;-). How lovely this close-up is.

It bears a striking resemblance to the tondi of Andrea della Robbia (c. 1490.) that are located on each column of the Spedale degli Innocenti, building built in Florence in the fifteenth century by Filippo Brunelleschi. http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Spedale_degli_innocenti,_tondo_andrea_della_robbia_12-13.JPG Excellent capture and lovely dedi! :)
