Description

Harappa IV was settled mostly by Earth colonists from "Old India." The planet has one super continent, Mohenjo-daro, and two much smaller ones. The extreme center of the huge continent is a vast dry barrens. Most of the plant life there is sparse and relatively primitive; although there are a few hardy species of trees and bushes. Most of the vegetation resembles molds, lichens, and mosses that might of been crossed with cactus. Most of the colonists have settled within 1500 kilometers of the coasts but there are a few hardy folk who live in the "Big Beyond"--the dry desert areas in the middle of Mohenjo-daro. The name comes from a Sanskrit phrase, "Beyond, Beyond the Beyond." The folk who live in the Big Beyond are mostly geologists, prospectors, miners, engineers, managers and administrative personnel for the Mining and Energy corporate interests. Then, there are those who cater to their needs. Those folks range from prostitutes to grocers, bartenders to lawyers, to you name it. There are scientists, teachers, doctors and nurses--and, yes, truckers. Most goods are freighted in by aircraft to the few largest towns. Still, there are always much smaller communities scattered all over the Big Beyond; and the only way to get goods to them is by truck. The men and women who drive the rough trails of the Big Beyond are a special breed. ________________________-- Well, enough of that! Got some of rj001's SF Truck Bundles the other day, so this was just an excuse to use one of them. For those of you still wondering if I'm ever going to return to Tansy's Tale, the answer is yes. Thanks for coming by and taking a peek. Your comments, critiques, and encouragements are always appreciated. Thanks! Jeremy CREDITS: Vue6 Pro Studio, Poser6. Vehicle: from rj001's "2011 SF Truck Bundle" (Renderosity). Driver: Predation's "Lorenzo Lorez" with Indian morph and skins (DAZ). Clothing: Sarsa's "M4 Urban Warrior" (Renderosity). Weapons: Various Cyberpunk freebies. Plants: from Vue6 Sci-Fi plant files; mostly "Mega-spores."
