Description
It's either an outhouse, a tool or woodshed. Perhaps someone out there knows its true identity.
Extremely ZOOM worthy.
Captured 9/19/10, and no, not up in Lynell's Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, but at Fort Tejon, near the city of Lebec, California, about 92 miles from my place. I was there for a Civil War reenactment, which wasn't the greatest ever staged. Ergo, I came away disappointed. Got some cool scenery shots though.
Fort Tejon is an old Army outpost, originally established way back in 1854 to protect the settlers from the Indians.
Since the Fort is high up in the hills and far away from the smog of the cities, the sun was very bright and the air very clear that day, with sunglasses a preferred item.
Toodles, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and laudatory comments.

BEAUTIFUL SHOT!

Bit spacious for an outhouse? looks more like the proverbial woodshed, where errant youth should be taken for a 'whoopin' :-)

The colors in that little building are really stunning. Very unusual collage subject, Harry.

Great collage and it is a lovely rustic building. I love the colours in the trees in the bg of the first capture.

I've looked and looked and looked Harry...darned if I know. No half moon on the door...probably not an outhouse. I'll throw my lot in with thinking it is a woodshed. The door looks very strong leading me to believe there may be something of more value than wood in there. Interesting building indeed.

I don't know, maybe it's a concessions stand to sell cotton candy to the bystanders at the Indian raid? Maybe it's an ammo storage shed? Fireworks stand? Excellent captures of whatever it is, and I really love the trees on the hillsides behind it. Beautiful stuff!

Really cool captures of it Harry, and my money is on storage shed

I really like that first shot; it has a lovely look and the colors are soft and very beautiful!

No one would put a window in a woodshed or a sitting bench outside with a large porch, so I'm thinking it was a small rustic bunkhouse. The stones beyond the larger table are possibly burned a bit darker, so maybe they were once a firepit?

Beautiful postwork!

A little cramped to dwell therein. Great shots, I like the rustic style and the light.

could be the dog house when the wife kick her man out and he have to sleep here? i do not know but it do look like a good little house
danapommet
It looks like the outhouse we had as kids. It had two seats - in case of emergencies. Every spring, we dug a new pit, moved the outhouse over and filled in the old pit. Dana

With the lock on the door, I hope it's not an out house!!

Looks like a great place to shoot, with the interesting landscape and buildings. Sorry to hear the reenactment wasn't very good :( I know how much you love those.
