Description

While working on the textures for this set, I purposefully did this image basing myself on photos of Tutankhamun's funerary mask and coffin. Headdress and bracers from Luthbel's Anunnaki set, textures can be found on my Numinous pack.Textures done in Photoshop and Zbrush; crook and flail modelled in C4D. Lights are heavily modified from Pro-luma 2

The crook and the flail are amazingly done and an ancient Egyptian would recognize them immediately and then grow very upset that you got a hold of them, being as you're not ancient Egyptian (You're probably too tall and not exactly...um...onion-scented enough. They ate massive quantities of onions and so I'm sure they smelled of rather fragrant metabolic processes as a result.) And all rambles aside, this is a marvelous piece of work...deliciously modern in that it has all of the hallmarks of a modern interpretation of an ancient theme; there's a bit more "realism" involved and it taps into the wonderful appeal of ancient Egypt, and it's ability to always survive transformation into something a bit more modern...now if only we actually dressed like they did...oh wait, that can't happen: women ran didn't cover their torsos and we can't have that, now can we. Anyway, before I ramble on and on and on more senselessly, let me just say that this is a stunning piece of work.
