I turned on my tv right after the first plane hit... as I stood and stared at the tv, they had a fixed shot on the burning building, the camera shot didn't change.... I thought something was going on in Denver and was trying to make any sense of what I was viewing, then the second plane came into view and smashed into the building - by this time, I knew it was the twin towers... as the flames shot out of the building, I swear I saw the face of the devil... it was as if his face was looking down at the street and then raised up to look at the camera, the eyelids looked like they were opening and flames began to appear and then flames from the mouth - I know I have a vivid imagination, but from all the crap I've seen in my life about the devil, I swear I saw the face that day - it made me step back from my tv, that's how intense the image was - none of us will ever be the same again.... ...I'm busy getting ready to jump a bunch of states, and I left this comment on RodS's gallery - I haven't had time to spend here, but I felt this was a good comment to transfer to you - stay safe ESPECIALLY tomorrow. I like your picture, just before the change of the world.

My sister lives in L.A. and called us so that we connect the TV. My wife and I watched in horror as thousands died. We had been at the World Trade Center some years before, so we could understand the magnitude of that horror. This should never happen. we honor the victims and all those heroes who gave their lives trying to save others.

This was a dreadful day for all of us. This day hit home and it was indeed a horrible dreadful day for us. The reminder is just as hard especially for those who have lost a loved one or dear friend, associate or even their entire business, yes, we will never forget! How can we?

What a beautiful and touching tribute, Angela! So much emotion in this image - just perfect! I remember well that day. I was working for Gateway as a tech at the Country Store in Overland Park, Kansas. I was driving to work when I heard on the radio that a plane had crashed into the WTC. I thought maybe it was a horrible accident (a B-25 had crashed into the Empire State Building back in the 40s, perhaps this was a similar accident). Then they said a second plane had crashed into the other tower. I knew then it was no accident. When I got to work, everything had stopped - everone was glued to the TV... Then they said a third plane had hit the Pentagon, and a fourth had gone down in Pa. It was sickening to see the towers collapse... I have tears welling up just remembering it. I have to stop and go to bed.. Superb tribute, my friend!

Fantastic tribute. I was at work when the secretary came out of the office to tell us what had just happened. For the next three hours we watched in horror as the events of that day unfolded. About an hour later my wife called and told me that my son was being activated. The boss gave us the rest of the day off because nothing would have gotten done.
