Description
The Old "Logement van Amsterdam" in Den Haag / The Hague build in 1740.
In these days 1648-1810 the Netherlands were a Republic (a failed experiment, so we became a Monarchy) and the mighty cities of the most powerful of the 7 Netherlands ("Holland") had a kind of Embassies in the political heart of the Republic... Den Haag / The Hague.
Amsterdam was the richest city and had the largest Embassy, now a government building, it is still impressive today. I was able to visit it yesterday..

didn't realize one could get vertigo looking upwards--lol! Very nice shot and perspective there--the dark ornate railings look splendid against the creme surrounding--just a wonderful shot.
