Well I wanted to do something special for my 100th image. I have been working on several big pics but not having much luck with them for various reasons. Probably has something to do with the fact that I always have ten projects going at the same time in my head. I have also been writing on my graphic novel and have done about 15 pages now (script only). But I had a day to play while the kids and wife were gone so I decided to do a simple pic. It wasn't as simple as I had thought (for me that is). This was an idea I had for a video game a couple of years ago. Ashley is very sick, and waiting for his treatments is very boring. So, to pass the time he and his mother make up stories about the "Deep Dark Woods". When he has a terrible setback and is rushed to the hospital, Ashley awakens to find himself in the fairy tale land itself. The little bear "Ted" is of course his teddy bear come to life in the Deep Dark Woods. And if you look real close in the jar Ashley is holding you might see a blurb that is a fairy that I spent an hour getting just right in Carrara - only to have it be essentially unseen. Note - I bought the Advanced Carrara Techniques traning tutorials over at Daz, It's fantastic. I have been learning so much about carrara. This program has so much more than I realized!
