A retro sci-fi image this time.Rocketship is a Bryce7Pro model,created using Bryce primitive shapes and 7Pro additional primitive shapes by Rashad Carter(a great new set for modelling!).Texture is a Brinnen metal material.Terrains are rendered in a sand and rock texture,also by David Brinnen.Distant planet is a sphere textured with a modified Seriously Real Material from Daz.Sky,light and atmo are all custom. Steam cloud is a sphere textured in a modified smog volumetric.Postwork in Photoshop included a levels and saturation boost,noise filter and signature.In Photoscape I added a film filter effect and vignetting.Thanks for viewing,and any comments!

I love retro science fiction for the look of it; there's always something compelling about the way people once imagined "the future," as in the year 2000 to look. Rockets of this sort were supposed to be regular parts of everyday life; we were supposed to have colonies on the moon, ballroom dancing on Mars, a perpetual enemy in the Soviet Union--an ineffectual enemy, always foiled at the last possible moment: or even worse enemies like Ming the Merciless, or even the Baron Vladimir Harkonnen...and stuff was supposed to look like this! Needless to say, this is a snazzy retrofit of a retro-rocket. I suspect there's a really bad pun lodged in there somewhere...but there you have it. I love the colors, the tones, the textures, and especially that nice tilt, as if the rocket is poised to zoom off into the retro-unknown, undoubtedly arrowing its way into an adventure involving women in the habit of wearing as little as possible. This is excellent; the amount of work you put into this shows wonderfully.
