Description
This birds are the "Ara macao" (Scarlet macaw). We call them "Guaras" and "Guacamayas".
I took this photo in the ruins of Copan (Honduras). They are usually found in the entrance area of the park, where they walk and fly freely among the visitors.
They are peaceful, but if they get angry can cut off a finger with its strong, sharp beak. So it's better to see them but not touch.
They are used to move between the people and cameras, so they know how to be very good models. Then, if the picture is bad, it's my fault, not theirs.
