Description

First off! thank you for all the great comments, sitemails and e-mails regarding the 617 series.Went on a bit longer than I intended, but as they say "time flies...". I'm a huge film buff besides other things and have always been a big Bond fan (with a few exceptions).Sean Connery was the best, though I'm taking quite a likeing to what Daniel Craig is doing. The above is one of my all time Bond and probably movie in general scenes. After 30 something years I still want one of these even more than the Aston. This is something I made for me, it's surprising how little detail there is available for so famous a 'bird'. Limited application but if anyone wants it 'let me know'. Having spent so much time and effort on the 617 posts I found myself with a feeling I had after The Battle of Britain posts last year.Kind of at a loss what to do next....I had something to finish for my good mate Phil (preeder) in the shape of an Me163 Komet, the first of a few German X-craft. I went out on a book hunt yesterday and found an amazing volume on just that subject and I got that spark.I've had a few requests for some of these, and the answers always been "yes they're on the list"..well now they're on 'The Plant'floor.I've got half a dozen definates, some you'll expect some maybe not but this number will probably grow. The book contains some lovely impressions of what these aircraft would have looked like.Including one by some bloke called 'David Pentland'.....cool BV.P 211 mate, that's on the list.. So it's back to normal, got some new textures for old models to sort out by request, a couple of 'prop' jobs I want to get done, some German X-craft and a Military helicopter I've been promising myself for two years may actually be in the offing (that's a model not the real thing).Well I've got nothing left to post after this, so I'll have to find time to render something too....or it may be a dig in the photo folder.....so if you have any requests now might be a good time :-) Sioux helicopters in the above image by BeyondVR. Pilots are AA workman Mr Bonds stand in is DoMus from Posetteforever. Little Nellie, Bonds camera helmet and flame jet by me.

For me You Only Live Twice was one of the best Bond films although my personal fav Bond was Roger. You can't beat TSWLM. Very good model, ever thought about doing the DB5.

Never did see that many Bond movies, but I liked the one where he drops the guy down the big smokestack.

My favorite Bond movie--perhaps because I spent two years in northwestern Kyushu Japan about two years before the time period when the movie was filmed. Always thought Sean Connery was the bsst of the lot and, like you, am impressed with Daniel Craig. In many ways, the latter comes closest to the Bond in the books to my mind. Hated Roger Moore--the one Hollywood used seemingly forever. He was too old for the part when he did the first one; and the Bond movies seemed to turn into straightout slapstick comedies and way off the mark as to the spirit of Fleming's books. Thank God for the new five year rule that an actor can only play the part five times!!! And, yes, I for one would love to have the model, which looks fantastic!

So ..... Mr Bond, we meet again ...... err, sorry neil, getting into the part. I too am a huge film fan, love Robert Rodrigez and tarantino at the moment. best film so far this year though (for me) is Harry Brown, closely followed by Limitless. And yeah, I can find a use for the model if you would be so kind as to let me "have a bash" so-to-speak.
