Mara sits across from her master in his private study. The warm crackling of a fire is the only sound, as she waits for him to speak. "I couldn't help but notice you're spending more time with your friends lately." He begins. Mara carefully considers her response, but he continues before she can reply. "I of couse have no problem with this, as long as it doesn't effect your studies." he smiles. "I assure you my time will be well spent learning to work my magic in concert with others, my master." Mara humbly replies. "Of this I have no doubt, but perhaps you could give me some indication of your current area of research"..."I'm most interested in how your studies are coming along" he queries her. "Perhaps I could show you my master, if I may?" Mara humbly requests. "By all means my dear"..."I would love a little show." he smiles, not really fully understanding what he has agreed to, but trusting his apprentice completely. "My work should be visible from this window my master"..."I will be right back." She says with a bow and vanishes on the wings of a teleport spell. Mara appears on the uppermost level of the main tower. She withdraws her elemental staff from a secret pocket of her robes and with a word it quickly grows to full size. Mara raises it above her head, holding it with both hands and begins an incantation. Wind rises and clouds quickly form in fast moving patterns all about. The sky darkens and great thunder begins to sound as if a great storm had instantly been sommoned. The energy is thick in the colliding clouds and lightning shows in their lining. With a thunderous crash, the first bolts impact the ground. The bolts increase in number and the lightning becomes a chain of energy pummeling the ground from many clouds. The closest town is several miles away, as is the nearest farm, but those inhabitants race for their homes as if the world itself is coming to an end. Fire dances among the clouds now and smoke rises from a fisher created from the lightning. The fire, lightning and wind reach an impossible level, as if the Gods themselves have passed judgement on the mere mortals and found them wanting. And then, as if time itself had suddenly stopped, it was over. The last of the dark clouds blows away and beautiful clear blue sky returns. Looking up from the window of his study, her master smiles and whispers on the winds of magic, he knows Mara will hear. "Most impressive" Enjoy, -Arakas
