I have often wondered how the species of mer-folk is perpetuated. Anatomically speaking, the prospect would seem perplexing in the extreme. Mermaids are said to have the mesmerizing qualities of sirens. I therefore hypothesize that offspring are manifested through spirit. This, of course, favors the role of fantasy in the process. This brings us to the title of your piece, where the tide of fantasy is a prospect that pleases. Certainly your image is a prospect that pleases. Very lovely indeed!
