Description

I bought a big pot of these the other day. Just to see something else than the stormy weather and the spoiled flowers outside. Wish you all a beautiful day. I am glad to say that the stormy weather is gone and we have sunny, but cool weather today. Thank you so much for viewing, comments and favs to my previous post. It is Highly appreciated :)

Beautiful! It's started raining here again this week, after only four weeks of summer! I could use some flowers, too.

What big plump centres they have! Really attractive. I can never keep them going even if I cut them back after flowering..I think they are preprogrammed to die so we have to buy more!

Rain. Chicago has had so much rain. I don't think we had summer. We had a few hot days, maybe about 4 or 6 of them, and the rest was rain! It didn't rain today but it was cold! Now, as for the flowers to fight against the drabness: these are beautiful. Chrysanthemums are regarded in Japan as a warrior's flower...well, they were, which is why Samurai venerated them and often ran around wearing them in some version or another! I like that and I think of that whenever I see Chrysanthemums, and I have to say that you have a gorgeous pot of them here! I like these, especially the color and their rich, beautiful middle parts.

I always thought that photographing or painting groups of flowers like these was very hard, because you have to battle sameness & the fatigue of seeing the same thing over & over. But just to see the light, here, refutes that. The light---often on the right sides of the flowers---plays against the shadows scintillatingly; the variations in the stamens are a joy; the variations in light & darker pinks is a joy; and the variations in open & partly open flowers, as well as in the interactions with background leaves & unopen buds make for a beautiful capture. Most of the mums I've drawn are of the multi-petaled kind (a few are in my gallery still, i think); whereas these appear of the simpler kind (or maybe they just aren't fully grown yet). Whatever they are, it's a beautiful burst of an image; and its standout hues---the bright pinks---are just beautiful. More scintillating flower captures from you, to add to all your other works in this gallery. This took me out of my chair the minute I saw it...
