Description
Now I'm not really a fan of Richard Dawkins or his particularly muscular form of aetheism (he gives us a bad name!) However it doesn't stop me exploiting concepts that he created. Hence my hi-jacking of his MEME concept which for the unitiated is 'a unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation,'(The Selfish Gene.) It is a reductionist theory and has some explanatory power, but basically it ends up making ideas and concepts into concrete entities that just happen to need thinking things-Minds-whether organic, mechanical or spiritual-to become actualised. In some ways reading writers like Susan Blackmore you would think ideas have thinkers rather that thinkers have ideas.
But I digress. The idea of a 'weaponised meme' which I am happy to call my very own meme,(I hope!) is that some sufficiently advanced culture could find a way of utilizing destructive memes to fire at their enemies. It could have a nebulous physical form simply to enable it to be transmitted over distances. I'm not sure.
The Brain model is from a site called 3d Extras and is by an artist called Rian. This is supplemented by a freebie texture from Turbosquid'
Sixus 1's Garoux character makes another appearance as our archetypal superintelligent conceptual entity....

Thanks for explaining, seems simple enough to me, but then I DID get 'O' level Home-Ec.... This MeMe thing is quite a scary idea, can you defend against an 'idea'? could be quite a potent 'critter'... great visuals as always, the more the story progresses and 'expands', the more fascinating it becomes.I'm assuming these tangents must collide at some point ? Thrilling stuff mate, a real page turner...
