This piece is dedicated to my mother. Next month will be a year since he left. I don't understand how people can say the pain will lessen. I can not see how they say he's gone just move on. Who are those that can utter such words. They know not the bond that we shared. They can not know the incredible path he walked. Who are they to point and condemn because our hearts still bleed. A year...another Christmas his favor time of year. Can they believe the words they spew? Can they just forget someone they loved for over 40 years...even 43? How can they condone our hearts for this loss? Has humanity grown so cold?
