The Big White Party (Montreal)
The white Party (Bal en Blanc) is a huge rave party that is hosted annually, in April during Easter holiday weekend, in Montreal, Canada. It was first held in 1995, and the first addition had 800 attendees. It features headliner DJs from all over the world and attracts over 15,000 attendees. This event usually has two separate rooms, one catering to house music and the other to trance music. The party attracts large numbers of both gay and straight ravers. It usually lasts for more than 14 hours. (225,000 watts of sound)
The White Party is one of the biggest events in the dining room dedicated to electronic dance music in North America. Each spring, more than fifteen thousand people share this extraordinary experience, which takes place now at the convention center in the heart of downtown Montreal.
April 2009 15th anniversary line up included: Insomnia, Markus Schulz, Above and Beyond, Armin Van Buuren, Roger Shah, King Louis, Uppercut, Offer Nissim, Ana Paula, Axwell, Deadmau5, Victor Calderone.
April 2010's edition included Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Sander van Doorn, Infected Mushroom, Sied van Riel, Wizz & Insomnia (DJ), David Guetta, Kryoman, LMFAO, David Morales, Kaskade, Ana Paula, Cesar ''Bass'' Romero, Etienne Ozborne and a special guest appearance from Godskitchen Boombox.
April 2011's edition included Tiësto, Above and Beyond, Markus Schulz and Sander Van Doorn.
