A view of the memorial at Aberfan in South Wales ,where in 1966 a landslide buried the village school with the loss of 116 children and a number of adults

I remember that catastrophe only all too well. Saw the horrible photos in the news papers and felt for the poor parents. Almost the whole town's children were gone. Thanks for posting this "after the fact" photo. Interesting with the empty arches. Reminds one of the emptyness left after the children were gone. Keep up the good work. :-)

This hit the papers in the US as well. I can still remember the shocked feeling.
