Description

The two ships were miles away from landfall when the terrible storm broke pouring down torrents of rain and sleet. Captain Hannish had been washed overboard by a wave that came out of nowhere as he was struggling to get back to his cabin to make a note of the storm and their bearings in his log. His partner and pilot on this run and many others had taken over the captaincy of the ship. It was in their contract and was written in the ship's log. The pilot's name was Azdrubaal. He was a giant of a man who could bust melons and heads with his bare hands. He was tough as iron nails and twice as crusty. Having been at the wheel for nearly seven hours now and soaked to the bone, Azdrubaal was in no mood for the first mate, Virus, questioning his authority. It was a stupid time to do it, but men often did stupid things in situations like this. Azdrubaal knew that from experience. It wasn't the first time he'd lost his captain or been challenged. The first mate was new to their company. He'd never sailed this far south. Azdrubaal had warned Hannish against hiring him because of this, and because he instinctively didn't like him. Hannish hired him anyway, because Virus was the best of the lot that had come forward that night. With any luck the storm would break soon, because the coast of Madagascar wasn't that far away. The last thing Azdrubaal wanted was to make through the storm and end up running afoul on the rocks and losing their cargo. ***** Just getting to play with the Spartacos morph for M4 as I finally got Michael loaded into PP 2010 last night and stayed up way too late. He's great to work with and I love 'im! Nice to have a new figure to play with too. Hope you like and thanks for stopping by and your comments, dear friends. Cheers! Rayvn

Fantastic job. That's a tough looking character with a lot of personality. Excellent render. You captured his ire and 'crustiness' perfectly. Excellent portrait and great rain effects.
