Fantastic. In a sense, this reminds me of the city of Bellona as depicted in Samuel R. Delany's novel: Dhalgren...a rather strange city in which both the moon and George Harrison (the other moon) share the same sky and where the sun is (occasionally) a bizarre apparition that defies all logic. It's that kind of city, but then Dhalgren is quite an enigmatic and compelling text. I like the fact that this image is connected, in my mind, with that book...the sense of strangeness is there. I can almost recognize the city. Almost. I don't recognize that sky at all, nor can I imagine what the environment there must be like...nothing seems destroyed or abandoned, and yet, nothing seems familiar. Ah...The Shape of Things to Come...it's never a familiar shape, is it? This is fantastic!

I saw a tv programme last night that said according to the mayan calender the world would come to an end on december 21 2012....next year. Maybe you have something here. Damned annoying though because if they are wrong and you havent brought any presents it going to take some explaining :-)
