Description

------------- Darklight – Nocticula

“Nocticula’s power is in her charms, not her legions. Few Demon princes will challenge her in her own realm, for they fear she will seize control of them and turn their own powers against them. In this regard, she has a power to breach the resistances and mental defenses of demons using her enchantments. This she can do even through her minions, over vast distances, without even having to be there. Her entire realm exudes an aura that can overcome the weak minded. She is a most powerful witch. That is her strength, and her weakness. For if one can negate her powerful magics, she is no more than a succubus in physical combat,… something I am considerably better at than she. Therefore, my first suggestion to make this achievable is that your Delsian use that Krell artifact and give us all a defense against Nocticula’s charms.”

“Our first move should be to attack the grave planes and then move on the fortress. That falls to the SGL. There are old, withered oaks rising above the graveyards, the Hanging Trees. Unbeknownst to Nocticula, I have control of them and they will serve as your gateway. The fortress is in the Haunted Pines of the Midnight Mountains, and again, many of those trees are mine. The Night Raptors and I shall go through them to reach the secret passages into the fortress. Once we reach Nocticula’s crypt, the Krell artifact should be able to disable her spellcasting long enough for us to defeat her. To destroy her completely will take something very special, something I have been preparing. Again, I will need the powers of the Krell artifact to turn off the defenses around her tomb. Only then will I be able to pierce her black heart and take her head. There, in her crypt, we will find what we seek, the Sword of Lolnivog.”

“Be warned. Your magics cannot affect the night of Darklight. Sunburst spells and beams of sunlight simply will not work. Don’t think you’ll be able to defeat vampires with such spells. Likewise, no mortal spells will return the werewolves to their human form. The moonlight is part of Darklight’s essence. Nocticula’s charms are nearly absolute. Don’t think you’ll be able to sway or charm anything within her domain. It is possible that your Disrupt Undead spells will work. I have no access to such spells, so I don’t know personally. Expect positive energy and holy magics to be suppressed, at the very least, and completely blocked in other places. Don’t expect any of your magics to harm Nocticula.”

“And last, Nocticula herself. She may seem to be no more than a beautiful woman, but remember, her kiss is deadly. She may be able to breach the blocks and defenses of the Armband, but that’s not likely. If she does, she’ll charm and dominate first, and attack physically last of all. She’ll attempt to set her minions on you and escape at the first opportunity if her magic is disrupted. And most of all, she has a Goddess’ ego. She simply cannot conceive of being defeated. And she certainly won’t expect that anything can block or overcome her charms. Expect her to react wildly when she discovers this. If we can play on that ego, we might keep her off-balance even longer. Also, she doesn’t appear to have wings most of the time. Her wings erupt as flames from her back when she needs them. When this happens, she is surrounded in a fiery immolation not unlike my own. If you’re not immune to demonic fire, don’t get too close to her.”

Blah, repost since it won't let me edit the original message (Changed "I" to "It"): I really like the scenery here. It matches the narrative quite well :D Opal would have done well in this realm! Good place to have her blood bonuses ;)
