In 1932 he obtained a first solo exhibition. 1933 all teachers be laid off at the Bauhaus and the Bauhaus was closed. Josef and Anni Albers received by Philip Johnson has moved to the newly founded Black Mountain College in North Carolina, USA, and leave Germany. 1935 made their first trip to Cuba and Mexico.
