Description

many Native Americans regard white Bison as spiritual beings.often when one is born they hold special activities for the new calf. I took this at Royal Gorge Colorado at their small zoo

Its important to let people know this is not an albino bison but a true white one. The white ones are rare. In the wild they would not survive long as they stand out so predators single them out. Great capture

I too, must concur with some others that I have never actually seen a bison of the white colour. This is a fabulous subject for so many reasons known to me, Richard. The bison is indeed a sacred animal and looks so pure and innocent in the lighitng you have captured him in! Wonderful photography!
