Description
Lil Abner was a NEWS Paper Comic Strip Character that was popular many years ago in the US...There was also Stage Shows about these characters and even a Movie Made, not sure if it was in the 40s or 50s when it came out...A bunch of Hillbillys that lived in the Mountain.

Li'l Abner was the title character in the long-running (1934-1977) syndicated newspaper strip by cartoonist Al Capp. Used to read it along with the Archie's comic strip....(smiles)... Cool job at recreating it ....Nice Depiction!...Brings back a few memories!

Here in Europe we don't know Lil Abner (just a little bit...) but we can appreciate the quality of your creation, nonetheless. I ran into a Hillbilly once I was hiking in West Virginia..

Yep, penned by Al Capp - remember it well in the Sunday funnies. It was hugely irreverent in a time plagued with monotonous conformity. Thanks for the trip back in time!
