I am a cowboy at heart, I have to admit it. I love spending time with my horse, and the more people I get to know, the more I like spending time with my horse.
Unless of course it's spending time creating images like this one.
BIOMy day job is as an art director for an advertising agency, and with some good fortune, I've actually met 3dExplorer on here. Shouts out!
More or less I have been working as an artist for more than 20 years, professionally. In my private life, I enjoy making music, performing live, and working with my horses (I now have two, Outlaw's Rolling Thunder - a Belgian Draft Tennessee Walker cross) and Jimmy Two Socks - a Tennessee Walker. I am training Thunder for the trails, and we're having a particularly good time discovering a lot about each other and bonding a great deal.
Living in central Illinois is somewhat limiting in my reach artistically, but thankfully I have come across forums like this and others which allow me to expand the reach of my work, and at the same time still enjoy the relative anonymity of living in the midwestern United States.

I see you're in the running for artist of the Month = cograts. this is the first month in a long, long time I didn't recognized any of the names on the list - I'd say 70% of the winners of artists of the month this year I've known and have as a fave artist for years.... so, this month, no one owns my vote... you are my first stop, cause it's alphabetical order.... I'm going to look at the last three entrees of each and glance over their thumbnails.... I have to be honest with you, I DO LIKE YOUR WORK - BUT - I'm not a fan of watermark.... I really don't know why some artists do that.... it takes away from the viewer and if someone steals it and says it's theirs, you have proof it's yours.... think of it.... someone steals your art, publishes it, makes a lot of dough, you find out, your art just made you some money - take'm to court - look at your art as fishing - drop it in the water and see what happens.... On the other hand, if I really liked a piece of yours to where I wanted to steal it and publish it, I'd just copy your water marked picture and clone paint over the watermark, it world still look like yours, but I'd change it enough to where if you saw it published, you wouldn't be able to call it yours cause I'd change it enough - so, my vote for you will be effected by you puting a watermark on your picture - that's just how I am.... I thought I'd let you know, cause I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this way. Good luck in the contest and as of right now, you have my vote, but I've got the others to look at. Good luck.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Mike. I appreciate your concerns re: my watermarks, however, I can tell you from first-hand experience, that when someone steals your work, it costs you far more money than you make, and with watermarks, you discourage the average person from stealing your works. All in all, I believe it's more important for me to watermark my images.
