I hate these things with a vengeance. They are a blight on the landscape near where i live,They should use the aeroplane in your previous post to bomb them... Nice picture though

Cool capture Richard. I know some folks dont like these, but the entire gulf of Mexico never was at risk because a storm knocked one of these down, and majority of the electricity in the states comes from coal burning plants. Coal plants are filthy and polute far more than any other source of electricity. So people that dont like them because they look silly need find some other way to help meet the ever growing demand for electricity without drilling or burning coal, and then these would be unnecessary.

It is monstrous, it is expensive, the landscape is completely disfigured ... and to crown all, it makes noise! The cash drawer works well for this type of gear ... so now it exioste solutions more attractive and less expensive, especially in some countries, along motorways, with the wind created by the trucks ... all the electricity at the toll booth is well supplied!

I still sit on the fence with this type of renewable energy source. A lot of beautiful views of our country have been lost to these un-natural entities! Not to mention when they breakdown and are not replaced! ???

Gosh what a lot of them there were. An interesting capture but we really need to find a better way to make power.

There are farms of these in NZ one lot is in Palmerston North where my daughter lives.. So what other option do we have for power? People don't want coal fired stations, don't want Nuclear power stations, don't want these windmill sort, and I guess the huge mirror farms will not be liked for solar generated energy so what do they want? They want more and more power but don't like the way it is produced!! Can't have your cake and eat it too...
