Almost a chapter in its own right this two page spread picks up the plot thread involving the alternate universe Daleks that I put down way back before Chapter Four. I needed something big and dramatic (I felt) to kick off the new chapter. The original opening for chapter nine didn't really do that so here we have the full sweep of Dalek history across several universes to entertain you. I am sure most of you are familiar with Davros, the Daleks deranged creator from the television series, but how many are aware of the different origins story given in the comics? The idea for this two page spread evolved out of an urge to redo chapter two where the Daleks bursts into the ship. I wanted to replace the ray guns with bullets and the force-fields with armour. However, going back and doing a George Lucas on it seemed a bit naff, so I invented a whole new universe to run that bit on instead.
