Breaking News : SpackoInternationalNews reports that the System/Boot harddisk of the mainframe is probably damaged.
well it was acting kind of weird over the last days,i felt something coming.
last night it started to give a slight hammering sound ,clack,clack,clack,as if the spin would not run.
We are doing our utmost to save the data and get another harddisk to make a clone of the defectuous hdd,(hopefully).
Trying to get this jobs done with Acronis True Image a powerful tool.
The “Doc”will keep you posted,meanwhile I can continue working on my second machine.
Sh..,happens lol.
First I am trying to create an image from each partition.
Then when having the new harddisk (shops only open at 10:00 and not everyone has hdds in stock I need a 1.5tb to be sure.
After this I will hook up this hdd internal and i try to clone it completely.
If cloning wont work I can partition the new hdd manually and restore partition by partition manually,will be more time consuming but then……...
In theory I wont loose any files in theory hehehehe.lets see what goes.
System partition already backed up just finished now-that way I don’t have to reinstall the OS.
1:0 for me.
I keep you posted step by step always with an upload hehehehe,but please be aware that I will be late on comments as you know the state I am in - slightly excited/nervous nothing to worry about the blood pressure as of yet.Adrenaline level within normal cyberdoc-parameters.

I started to backup my whole system on my external drive. Said it would take 6 days..well in 24 hrs went down to 3 days then shot back up to 6 days..I did discontinue. I think those little gremlins get inside the hd and just wreck havoc...Hope you can save all. Great looking characters and use of props.!

I hope you are able to rescue all of your data before the hdd is finally totally crashed. I had 2 bad experiences with that when Vista was the OS. It seemed it was hard on hard drives. with window's 7 i havent had a single problem yet. Your scene is cool. That is a big weapon that fella has. It looks so big only a very strong creature could wield it.

As long as the hard disk turns is easy to recover the data, the problem comes when you turn on its own, the data are inside but you can not access, we would like to power the circuit board. Beautiful scene , Rene !
