Something is happening out there, James. This thing is spreading all over the nation. I've heard that there are tea party members joining the protesters on Wall Street. It feels like 1970. If this keeps up I might have to get off my fat ass and start marching again.

Honestly, TPs ought to be all over this movement. It represents what they were about before they found out that THEY could be bought as cheaply as any congressman. For them, it ought to be seen as a shot at redemption. Something that Americans for Prosperity, Freedom Works, and The Enterprise Institute can't buy.

This time it doesn’t matter if your personal beliefs are to the left or right of center, we are all in the same boat now. The politicians of both parties are the bought and paid for whores of the greedy and out of control corporations. The “Machine” is rolling over us. It is time to fight for our Country again. In many ways we as a people are in worse shape in 2011 then 1775 I can’t tell you how strange it is for me to feel this way after having been a soldier and then a cop all my adult life, working for the “government”. I feel blindsided and betrayed. When did this happen? How could I have not seen it coming? Turned on the news and saw both Republicans and Democrats trying to take our social security and medicare away. Calling us greedy, calling these programs “entitlements”!? We PAID for these benefits, in a TRUST all of our working lives. And not by choice, thank you very much. The same people who want to take them away are the ones who forced us to pay for them. Look at your pay stub, did you ask for these deductions? And will our children or grandchildren see them? Hell no, their future has been mortgaged into the next century. Who do we see about this? Nobody! It is now up to “We The People” once again.

What about a French Revolution ?

It´s great to see this happening in the US. Unfortunately most Germans are still sitting on their couch and blaming Greece. Depending on how the financial crisis spreads the people here will wake up, soon or after 2016 when the self obstructed budget limit will be held as a justification for a new round of cuts in the social net. But if the protests spread in the US, Spain and Greece, maybe we will get more people together on the streets here as well. Keep on the struggle!
