Description

Number 3 is making a run for it but keeping an eye on us. I imagine this little fella is the quiet type since he's got a lot of polyp-thingies growing on its back. And if you keep running around they wouldn't be able to grow that easily, would they? Some of you have wondered how I made these shots, thinking I must have been wearing a wet-suit or something. I wasn't. I was just wearing my usual jeans, shirt and walking-shoes. So was I lying on the wet beach? Definitely not. It was low tide and I was squatting down near the animal in question, holding my camera almost on the sand and just aiming the lens in the right direction, hoping that position and (auto)focus would be alright. Lucky shots? Yes. But that's the fun of digital cameras: you make several shots and keep the best one. I realize that it must have been a funny sight because I was running to and fro every time the water came in. Didn't want my walking shoes to get too wet. This was the last one. I love how this crab looks to be wrapped in a blanket of foam. A super shot and I am so glad you didn't get wet getting these captures.

De crabfoto's zijn schitterend, Yvonne. Wat een details weer. Ik vind het altijd erg moeilijk om te bepalen welke van de foto's (genomen van hetzelfde item) de beste is ;-) Gefeliciteerd, volgens mij stond je in week 40. Bravo :)
