Description

Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The trees in the park are under stress from an European beetle and acid rain. The dead trees are Frasier Fir, a high altitude conifer and one which makes a beautiful Christmas tree. This image was taken at about 6000 ft elevation.

The bare tree's reminds me of some place in Hawaii because of the acid rain caused by the volcano plume/vog. But the landscape and scenic view is most beautiful. Aloha

Beautiful colors on the distant ridges. I love the different tones of the blue against the sky. Greetings from Sweden!
