Description
Emmy is sleeping, so I'm uploading what I hope is an improved image. Antaran pointed out that while the dof blur was helpful, the image felt confusing. In an attempt to make that better, I added some swirling splashes of color in the overlay mode in PS hoping to further separate the foreground from the background and at the same time add unifying type streaks of light. Made the light more green, but also added tinges of red. I lost some detail, but overall the image feels darker. Also, I broke up a line by blurring it between the left dragon's neck and the rock platform. Now the monsters seem a little more evil.
Pat, you broke the pup's heart. Labs are funny/crazy dogs - they are full of love, bravery, and are somehow extremely stupid and smart at the same time.

Wow, such a dramatic change without any re-rendering. I think the Orc and the right-hand-side dragon have sprung into great prominence, and their gaze now leads very nicely to the discovery of the puppy. I like how the dragon is contemplative and the Orc is not exhibiting much intelligence. They are now very prominent and distinctive characters, and the story has taken on a new spin for me. I can now very clearly interpret the image as the dragon being in the moment of deciding whether to protect the puppy from the other 2, and whether it all is worth the fight. Well done.

Amazing scene, very nice work!

Looks great with the added contrasts. I think a touch more light rays across the puppy would just complete the feel and add to the focus.

This works well...The color contrast gives it depth and realism.....(smiles)...
