Description
Captured back on 7/06/07, early in the AM, within trudging distance of my acrimonious abode.
ZOOM worthy.
Strange what one may find while strolling the alleys of one's neighborhood.
This is, or was, a relatively modern rollup garage door. The result of an unfortunate encounter with a vehicle of some sort, I would surmise, whether accidental or intended, and it came out second best.
Also, there was no from-the-street-onto-the driveway involved here. The driver steers the vehicle down the narrow alley, then makes either a sharp left or right hand turn into the garage.
Auf wiedersehen, thankx for popping in, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

Only downside of a garage door is you have to OPEN it first.

From the height of the damages it looks like a truck may have backed into it, maybe trying to turn around...great shots, Harry!

You do find the darnest things:) No way out for that car until the owner demos the door. Cool.

Loved this for the door alone, and of course the straight-on no-apology way you capture these things. (Meaning, you do nothing to dress it up or make it what it's not; you let the awkwardness & decay of it shine through and actually become beautiful.) Great find. I live in such a snazzy neighborhood that I'd die to find these sights---actually, no one around here would let this show for 2 minutes for fear of being ostracized---but I have a feeling that if you were here, you'd find them everyday. ("That's what photographers do," said an old teacher.) I love that you gave us a head-on & then the two angles; and in the last shot, you let us see the bottom bent-portion in all its glory, with the car sticking through. The garage-door version of a 'bad hair day', a crazy but delightful image and I'm always grateful that you show these along with your many other styles & visions.
