Description

In the Photography Story Challenge 8-year-old Kara just got a little puppy for her birthday! This is a shot I took of my daughters, my husbands, and my own schleiple to accompany the last paragraph I added to the story: Kara brought her new little puppy home and was SO excited to play with it, and to show her friends, and to feed it... this was her new best friend. Kara's parents were so thrilled to see the new friendship flourish. Kara took care of her new friend like she was his mother, made sure he was always washed and fed, and took him out for walks every night. But Kara was having a hard time figuring out his name! She was so concerned about making sure she chose a name that suited his personality, because she loved her own name so much she knew how important a task this was. So days went by and she tried calling out name after name to the dog, but nothing suited. Link: Go continue Kara's story! The years really do melt away. This story takes me back to when I was five years old. A neighbor's dog had just had a litter and my parents decided to get a puppy for me. I did not have the same problem as Kara as I had already decided on the name Blackie. My parents brought home a black puppy with white feet. My mother tried to convince me to name it Stockings. I pouted until they took it back and brought back a little black female. She was the best dog a boy could have. Sometimes I still miss her. Thanks for the memories.
