Description

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_(computing): The second marketed integrated mouse shipped as a part of a computer and intended for personal computer navigation came with the Xerox 8010 Star Information System in 1981. However, the mouse remained relatively obscure until the appearance of the Apple Macintosh, which included an updated version of the original Lisa Mouse. In 1984 PC columnist John C. Dvorak dismissively commented on the newly-released computer with a mouse: "There is no evidence that people want to use these things" ************** Floor and Candle by Fabiana http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/luz-de-imagen/72693 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/essentials-vol1---the-floors/81064 "Lapcoder" by coflek-gnorg http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/pva---lapcoder/40112 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=coflek-gnorg Apple by Exnem http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/exnems-fruits/87109 Post-Work Brushes Karanta http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?Start=31&vendor=19068 mystikel http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=512010 fratalartist01 http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=197501 dp http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?vendor=-dp- ************** photo credits Matt Yohe, used with permission under the following licenses: This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts. Jobs, Woz and even to a lesser degree Gates were Cult Heros to us budding Engineers as far back as the mid 70s by the late 70s they were Gods as far as I was concerned. It's very sad to see them fading but look how far they took us. Peace

As an Apple user for many years I can really appreciate this wonderful tribute to a great man. His death is very sad, but worse for the fact that not only did he open the door of the future much wider recently, he has left it open at a very vulnerable time. I can only hope that Apple gains a new, equally strong stewardship that can really guide it in the right direction and that the spirit of Apple does not drift out through the open doorway to be lost forever.
