Description

This is from Clingman's Dome (elev 6643 ft)- Great Smoky Mtns National Park in TN and NC, USA - looking out and down at the final ramp leading up to the tower lookout. It was a cloudy day, earlier posts show the cloud cover at about a mile high, far above that was upper cloud cover. The sun never quite broke through but it tried~ =) The Appalachian Trail crossed this point underneath where I stood on the tower, there were many others in this particular area as well (discrete signs here and there marking their crossings on the way to the Dome). Thank you for viewing and commenting on my posts~
